Assessing a puppy from the beginning, can help you understand if there are any genetic or learnt attachments to their personality. This may come in a teenage dog or adult dog as unwanted behaviours.
Puppy training in your home is more beneficial than group classes at a centre! WHY you may ask? You get one on one undivided attention and training for 1 hour, done specifially for you and your pet.
You will learn more advanced techniques rather than just the basics.
As behaviours arise in the home we can address those behaviours, where group classes do not have the time for that, and a lot of your time is sitting waiting for others to have their turn.

Understanding your dog from the beginning, can help address any subtle problems that owners may not be aware of. Only a trained behaviour expert can see these subtle behaviours and can help you to modify those, so they do not escalate in the future..

When I come to your home to meet you, I go through the following:
1st session 2 hours.

  1. Become an expert in reading your puppies body language. Controlled socialisation.
  2. Environmental management: Your puppies’ area, stationing mats (I explain why this is important) and enrichment for the brain. Toilet training.
  3. Bite inhibition.
  4. Teaching your puppy to self soothe and self occupy.
  5. Teaching your puppy food manners, self-control and making the right decisions.
  6. How to keep your puppies brain calm. A calm puppy can take on information, a stressed or fearful puppies’ ability to learn is inhibited.

  1. Walking training, lets go, nose to the ground, recall, trade and swap,
  2. Training drop it, leave it, finished cues
  3. 6 to 9 months is another fear stage this will be discussed.
  4. 1.5 to 3 years another fear stage
  5. Separation training

Everything listed, is to give your puppy the best chance of having a successful life without fear or anxiety (dependent of genetics).
